Who We Are
The Lamoille Women's Club is a member of the GFWC, which is a nonprofit organization that brings together local women's clubs in a collective effort to strengthen communities and enhance the lives of others through volunteer service.  Almost 80,000 members strong, the GFWC has member clubs in every state, the District of Columbia, and in a dozen countries.  The Lamoille Women's Club and GFWC members are community leaders who work locally to create global change by supporting the arts, preserving  natural resources, advancing education, promoting healthy lifestyles, encouraging civic involvement, and working toward world peace and understand.  GFWC is one the world's largest and oldest nonpartisan, nondenominational women's volunteer service organizations.  GFWC distinguishes itself from any other service organization by the breadth of their outreach.  Our programs span all areas of the lives of our members, their families, and the communities in which they live and work every day.  While they may work at a local level, our members create global change by selecting projects that will most benefit the needs of their communities.  The best part is that GFWC members are true volunteers in action.  Annually, the GFWC family donate an average of $26 million to their more than 90,000 service projects and donate more than 6 million hours of their time.
